From Agadir to Zagazig
Lu and I are heading to Agadir, Morocco, on March 12th. I've finished my D.Phil. (insh'allah: the examination is on Thursday 26th, I'm writing on the Sunday before). This means I'll only have intermittent email access, but thanks to the wonderful people at Intelligence Direct, my printers, the website will continue taking orders uninterrupted. You can follow our adventures on our blog, www.alphabettravel.com.
New Website Launched!
I think I've finally ironed out all the bugs in the new website, and can confidently send it out into the world! I taught myself webdesign from a book and the internet, so there may be a few little surprises left, but I hope this proves a good forum to showcase my work. Feel free to contact me to let me know of any problems, or just if you like the site!
88 Temples: a Blister for Every One
This summer, my wife Lu Barnham has been attempting a 1200km pilgrimage around the Japanese island of Shikoku, visiting and paying respects at 88 temples along the way. After a tough start she has picked up speed, and is now (at the beginning of September—she started at the end of July) up to the late 50s. All being well, I'll meet her in Korea after her walk at the end of the month. I can't wait!
You can read about her trip, and our other travels, from her blog.
Updated: Lu finished successfully, and we had a great time in Korea; she's now writing up the book.
New Panoramas
With the new website comes a range of new products: I've been busy with my camera this year. I've added new shots to each gallery, as well as introducing some entirely new ranges, including a series of Moroccan panoramas which, I hope you will agree, are truly breathtaking. I've also brought together my panoramic pictures from other places besides England and Morocco in my global gallery, including (I'll bet) about the only panoramic print of Bangladesh you're likely to see!

Oxford in Autumn
While moving house for the start of the new academic year, I took advantage of the moving van to head up to South Parks and Hinksey Hill for an autumnal photo shoot; got some great panos of the skyline rising out of a bed of golden autumn leaves; it's taken me a while to get these online with my academic career taking up a lot of time, but I think the result will be worth it. I've now got classic spring, autumn, and winter shots of the spires; now I just need to stick around for a summer and I'll have the full set!
