About Me
I'm a D.Phil. student in Political Theory at St Peter's College, Oxford, and in my spare time a photographer. I specialise in landscape photography, but take most of my pictures while travelling, which involves a lot of portraiture as well. Recently I have also started doing wedding photography. You can see my other galleries, and read about my academic work, by visiting my other website, www.sethlazar.org.uk. I also have a more encyclopaedic collection of pictures, at www.pbase.com/sethlazar.
I launched 'Oxford Panoramas' in April 2008, and the business has grown progressively since then. My posters are on sale in a number of shops in Oxford and Bamburgh—they featured in the window display of Blackwell Art and Poster shop over the summer—and other online shops, as well as here.
Shipping and Payment
After you click on the purchase button, you are taken to a shopping cart, where you can apply shipping costs and any discount codes. You then click to pay with PayPal, one of the world's largest online payment solutions. You don't have to create an account if you don't want to, or if you have an account, you can use that. Otherwise you can create a new account. The shipping address entered at this point will receive the delivery. Returns can only be made if the product is defective.
Shipping for posters and canvases is charged according to the value of your order, as follows:
up to £20 = £3.50 £20-£35 = £7.00 £35-£100 = £10.00 £100+ £12.50
Orders should be completed within 7 working days. There is a £3.50 surplus charge for delivery outside of the UK. Frames cannot be shipped overseas.
Canvas and Floating Frames
I now have two awesome framed products, handmade by my printers, and shipped out to you within 7-10 days. You can choose between two cool, contemporary styles: gallery wrapped canvas prints, and my new floating frames.
Canvas prints are now available at the amazing price of £90! They are beautifully wrapped around a handmade wooden frame, with the outer 2.5cm displayed on the sides, for a Stunning 3-D effect.
Floating frames are incredibly cool, they're the perfect way to display my pictures, and at only £65, they are very affordable. The print is mounted onto a 5mm thick board, which is then mounted on a hidden bracket, so the picture stands out from the wall. I love these things, and have one on my wall, which I've used as an example below.
If you'd like a more traditional frame, or if you live overseas (frames can only be delivered within the UK), you can avail of a brilliant 20% discount at Frame Express.net, who produce high-quality frames at great prices (starting from £36 including delivery).
Printing Options
All images are printed to very high standards, at 300dpi. I take pride in ensuring that my panoramic prints are tack sharp (nb online images are low-res, so do not convey the full effect of the pictures). Poster and art prints now come in three sizes: 100 x 23.3cm, 75 x 17.5cm, 60 x 14cm. Canvas prints are 65cm x 20cm (face dimensions), with a 2.5cm wraparound (the total print size is therefore 70cm x 25cm). Special orders for different sizes are welcome: just email me by clicking here.
Posters are lithographically printed on 280gsm Silk (semi-gloss) poster paper. Stochastic screening (the lithographic print method) is renowned for the fine detail it can capture. Like most posters, if placed in direct sunlight litho prints may fade over time.
Art prints are digitally printed to order on very high quality archival-quality art paper, at 230gsm. This is a very strong, long lasting paper, with vibrant colour rendition, which can be mounted anywhere. Each print is done individually.
Floating frames are digitally printed onto archival-quality vinyl, then mounted on a 5mm thick PVC board. This looks spectacular (see previous tab).
Canvas prints are on 340gsm white artist's canvas, with a matt laminate for protection, gallery wrapped around a 2.5cm wooden frame. The outer 2.5cm appears on the side of the frame, for a Stunning 3-D effect.

Privacy, Copyright, Credits
All the images on this site are copyright Seth Lazar 2008, and may not be used without my permission. If you would like to feature my work on your website, or even would just like a screensaver, just email me, and I'll sort something out for you. I'm quite accommodating.
I use Google analytics, which tells me how many visitors I have had. It may create a cookie on your computer. You can disable these in the usual way. When you place an order, I never see your financial data; that is all handled by PayPal. Your postal and email addresses are securely stored in my files. They will not be shared with any third parties.
This website was designed by Seth Lazar on Dreamweaver, which I learned how to use from David McFarland's 'Missing Manual' (and by asking Thom and Phil). The slideshow was based on script written by Sridhar Rao. The image popups are based on Lokesh Dhakar's Lightbox 2.0. The animated menu is by Project 7. My main printer is Intelligence Direct, while the posters were printed by Pinksheep. Finally, the forms are provided by EmailMeForm, and my site is listed in PhotoLinks.
Other Panoramic Photography Sites
I'm going to try to keep this page updated with other panoramic sites that I think are worth seeing, to build up a little network. First there's Will Pearson's panoramas of London. These are really Stunning. You might also like this gallery of panoramic pictures from the Shetland Isles and North England, by John Pedley. Some awesome stuff there!
Also if you're interested in art posters and prints more generally, drop by www.art247.com, run by another Old Ipswichian!
